In Our Community

Community is very important to us. With our co-owners being born in the village of Quyon, Quebec, they always considered their neighbours a part of their team, and in many ways, a part of the family. As one of the biggest employers in the area, we have employed multiple generations – some having been with the company for 30+ years.

Deeply committed to the place where they live and work, Mountainview contributes to the community through a variety of initiatives.

Community hockey rink

In 2020, Mountainview built a community ice rink that would provide a fun, safe space for children and their families to come together. “These are good people who deserve good things to happen,” says Jared. Mountainview maintains the rink to this day.

Canada Day and Community Days

Every year, Mountainview supports Canada Day celebrations and host Community Days, a weekend of family fun held every September. Bouncy castles, fireworks, BBQs, and baseball are just a small sample of the fun that Mountainview helps make possible.

Local Parades

In a town that hosts many local parades, Mountainview is always quick to help local businesses that may need a truck or trailer to participate. In addition to providing vehicles, Mountainview also provides fuel.

The Snowsuit Fund

No one wants to see a child without the warm attire necessary to play outside in winter. That’s why Mountainview is a generous supporter of The Snowsuit Fund, a long-established charity that distributes free outdoor winter clothing to children in need.

Mountainview Education Grant

Co-Owners, Jared and Lindsay both attended university and believe that every child should have the same opportunity. This is why they started the Mountainview Education Grant, a scholarship given to a deserving student attending Pontiac High School, who otherwise might not be able to afford post-secondary education.
